Ever tucked a lighthouse into your logbook? Join us September 18-20, 2026 for a flyout to the Mendocino Coast, landing at Little River (KLLR), a friendly bluff-top strip just minutes from one of California’s prettiest stretches of shoreline. Once we’re parked, it’s all redwoods and salt air: a stroll through the storybook village of Mendocino, a walk out to the 1909 Point Cabrillo Light, a ride on the Skunk Train through the coast redwoods, and fresh Dungeness crab on a fog-cooled patio while the sun drops into the Pacific.

It’s a mellow weekend, but we’ll fly it like instrument pilots — the Mendocino coast is famous for a marine layer that can clamp KLLR down well into the morning, so we’ll brief fog timing, honest personal minimums, and a solid inland alternate before anyone launches. Spots fill fast for a coastal weekend, so sign up early and tell us your departure airport, aircraft type, how many open seats you have, and your comfort with coastal IFR so we can group up flights and look out for each other.
