For a lot of instrument pilots, night flying quietly slips out of the rotation — the rating stays valid, but the comfort fades, and a routine landing after sunset starts to feel like a bigger deal than it should. Join us August 21-23, 2026 for a weekend built around getting that ease back. We’ll open with a ground session on the things that actually bite after dark: preserving your night vision, spotting the black-hole approach that makes you flare high or land short, reading runway and approach lighting at a glance, and thinking clearly about fuel, terrain, and divert options when the horizon disappears.
Then we take it up. You’ll knock out your three takeoffs and landings to a full stop to get current again, fly a short cross-country leg under the stars with an instructor beside you, and practice the approaches and go-arounds that build real confidence rather than just a logbook entry. We’ll finish with a relaxed debrief while it’s all fresh.
